Applying discount

Sometimes restaurants want to promote customer spending or clear inventory, they will apply discounts. Applying discounts is a common marketing strategy in the restaurant system, which can make customers feel affordable and advantageous, enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

If you want to apply discount on order- or item-level, you can do in Peppr as follows:

1. Order Discount

① Click the black Discount option above and choose Entire discount

② Whether it is Entire discount or Item discount, you can select different discount types: Custom% or Custom$

2. Item discount

a. Select discount

① Choose different discount types: Custom% or Custom$.

② Select the item to be discounted and click Apply.

b. Change discount

① Click Discount again and Choose the discount type that needs to be changed: Custom% or Custom$.

i.If an item already has a discount, there will be a prompt.

ii. Click the button to see the discount details

② Enter the amount/proportion that needs to be modified. If the discount of an item that has been set before, a red reminder will appear.

③ Tap Apply when finished.

Notes:

i. Entire discounts and Item discounts cannot exist at the same time. Only one discount can be used for an item, but different items’ discount can exist.

ii. The entire discount cannot be higher than the overall amount of the order, and the discount for an item follows the same rule.

iii. Only authorized users can operate the discount function. If you want to use the discount function on the POS, you need to add permissions for employees in the Employees window in the backend.

iv. In addition to % and $, the discount type can also be set as fixed % or $ discount in the backend.

Click Guest → New offer and enter required information.
